Dr. Richard Payne, CEO / President

Dr. Richard Payne is a Harvard-trained psychiatrist whose field of expertise is to provide mental health services to his clients. Dr. Payne achieved his Doctor of Medicine degree at Indiana University Medical School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he received honors in Hematology/Oncology, Plastic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, Radiology, and Psychiatry. He also completed his internship and residency programs in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and trained under many renowned Harvard psychiatrists.

Following culmination of his studies, Dr. Payne practiced psychiatry in Massachusetts as Medical Directors for both the Brockton Psychiatric Institute and South Bay Mental Health Center. He also served as Psychiatric Consultant to Old Colony Elderly Services, the Brockton Police Department, Medical Directior at Brockton Multi-Service Center, Brockton District Court, and Roxbury Community College High School program, and was on staff at Brockton Hospital.

Over the past 15 years, Dr. Payne served as chief psychiatrist and psychiatric consultant for various correctional facilities, nursing homes, educational facilities, and hospitals in Indiana, providing them with services such as psychiatric evaluations, treatments, psychopharmacology consultations, group therapy, medical staff consultations, and alcohol and substance abuse treatment. Dr. Payne has been a part of many important cases throughout the years, including the Marcia Heald case, In Re: The Commitment of Marcia Heald.

As a minority vendor, Payne & Associates Incorporated is certified by the State of Indiana and the City of Indianapolis for healthcare, mental healthcare, and addictions.
